JUMP CUT 2015 - Seeking Committee Members

JUMP CUT 2014 was not only Hong Kong’s first ever cross-city pop-up film festival, but also the first festival in Asia run entirely by teenagers. Its success was a true testament to the efforts of the dedicated and passionate youth committee, who worked together to bring the very best of independent film to some very unusual venues, including a residential rooftop in Sheung Wan and an artist hub in Prince Edward.
We are now seeking youth committee members for JUMP CUT 2015!
With guidance from YAF staff and local film experts, the committee will be responsible for putting together JUMP CUT 2015 – curating the programme, creating publicity, making site visits, inviting guest speakers, writing reviews and organising film workshops.
Starting from September, the committee will take part in weekly masterclasses led by some of Hong Kong’s best film professionals, covering topics such as art direction, film appreciation and publicity, festival curation, title animation and more. The committee will also meet monthly for epic movie marathons, where they will watch a wide range of inspiring and intriguing independent films, and be given the rare opportunity to discuss what they’ve seen with filmmakers.
